I was reading through some health statistics recently, and I'm still shocked at the numbers.
The lack of regular physical activity in our world is actually mind-blowing!
How sad is this?!
How many do YOU know who make up those statistics?
Many health and fitness experts are calling for Community-Based fitness programs to help reverse these scary trends. Local government's are seeing the benefits as they have worked to get people in their neighborhoods moving more by supporting the creation of more outdoor biking and walking trails, and designating more indoor activity space.
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention supports programs to decrease obesity and illness; and reports positive changes that even go beyond the important health benefits!:
"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
