One huge study that followed more than 50,000 adults over thirteen years found that those who walked for fitness were thinner than those who just hit the gym, or only practiced high intensity workouts!
The study showed that 30 minutes a day of brisk walking linked to lower body mass index, and a bigger reduction in belly fat as compared to non-walkers.

Karen Ulrich is a Walk 15 Instructor in Stow, OH. Her sister died at age 43, and Karen says a main contributing factor was obesity. Her family was worried, and so was she.
